The project

I work on the Internet of Medical Things team, helping build the SDK that connects pulse oximeters, spirometers, and blood pressure monitors to clinical-trial software. My work covers shared Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity across Android and iOS, integrations with React Native, and device protocols within a plugin-based architecture.

Context

Evinova’s Unified Trial Solution supports clinical trials. Its Internet of Medical Things team connects consumer and clinical-grade devices so trials can capture patient vitals.

My contribution

  1. Implement and debug device protocols within a plugin architecture, allowing integrations to evolve independently of the core SDK.

  2. Help maintain a shared Kotlin BLE and domain layer for Android and iOS, exposed to React Native through a typed JavaScript bridge and XCFramework.

  3. Use coding agents for specification-driven implementation, test generation, and adversarial code review, with an emphasis on reliable patient-facing software.

  4. Help refine binary codec design, structured error handling, and plugin contracts to keep device integrations consistent.
